Event day has come and gone and it was awesome!

With the event a sell out and 225 riders registered, the weather proved a challenge for all with strong winds increasing throughout the day making the already tough routes even tougher. A huge thanks to all our volunteers whose friendly faces and efforts saw all the riders round safe. Our fantastic hosts at the Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club ensured all were fed and watered after the ride and it was nice to soak up some of the comments from riders after...

"That was the hardest sportive i've ever done and i've done a lot of sportives!"

"My suffer score was only 4 off when I everested Norwood!"

So the long route is tough. Real tough. Up there with the Etape du Dales & Fred Whitton? We think so.

Thank you to our sponsors who have made this happen and we currently stand at over £17,000 raised for WaterAid. Check out the excellent post ride report from our partner club Alba Rosa and have a look at the event photos which are free to download although a donation is always appreciated..

We'll be back next year. Until then...
